A Belated Thanksgiving

The girls approach the strange, new "thing" with caution.

After visiting family and hosting friends this Thanksgiving, we were all tuckered out.

So, only today did I think of our poor girls... neglected over the holiday weekend, save for their usual table scraps of apple cores and a slice of pie, tossed in little pieces for the hens to scatter and fight for.

So, once the kids were safely off to school this morning, I spied a lonely pumpkin sitting on our door step and thought, "The girls!"

I knew they would enjoy this seasonal treat... and, boy, did they.
